Taiko no Tatsujin DS - Dororon Yokai Daikessen Japan - NDS - Rhythm
The game borrows gameplay mechanics from both Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Touch de Dokodon! and Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Great Adventure of the Seven Islands!. Like the previous installment, its features a story mode, and in this case it is known as 'Yokai Great Decisive Battle mode', and features a RPG-style gameplay. In Yokai Great Decisive Battle mode, the player controls Don in a RPG gameplay. When the player encounters an enemy, the taiko drum battle starts. Like in Great Adventure of the Seven Islands, the player must hit the notes to deplete the enemy's health point, otherwise missing a note will deplete the player's HP. The player wins when the enemy's HP is completely depleted. Players can level up by gaining EXP via taiko drum battles. When leveling up, Don's HP, attack and defense stats will increase. Equipments such as head gears and clothes will also affect stats as well. In addition, some head gears like the bronze key can unlock special doors, depending on the type of door in question.
